Help! G5 Internet Connection

Macbook Pro - 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4gb 1067 MHz DDR3 + Mac G5 Dual 2 PowerPC G5 3.5 GB DDR SDRAM
I was told it was possible to use my MacBook Pro to connect my G5 to the internet using an ethernet cable as my G5 has no airport card.

They are connected to eachother but the G5 wont connect to the internet

Can anyone help???

I think you need to explain more as why its not working? Do the machines see each other? You may need a hub and set it up like a Lan. Or your firewall may stop the connection. You may need a cross over ethernet cable. Just a thought.:|

its Working now! :D i played with the sharing settings but it works now :) cheers anyaway though :)
