Help - CD Rom

I recently brought a G3 powerbook (secondhand), but today my CD drive stopped working, which means i can't install any software. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their powerbook & if so how did you fix it?

When i put a disk in nothing happens, the disk doesn't seem to spin.... Do you think its a case of going out & buying a new one or can someone give me a link to a site that deals with mac powerbooks/hardware....

Any comments will be greatly appreciated because i havn't got a clue what to do about this.

Thanks for replying eypuff.... I had a look @ that site, pretty expensive cd-rom drives. I would expect them to be goldplated for those prices. Anyway, i've found someone local through a friend that thinks he can fix it. Going to take it to him tonight & hopefully he'll sort it out!
