Randomly my flash player has stopped working. I noticed this on a visit to youtube, it has worked fine until now. I followed the instructions and re installed it, no problems, but within about 4 hours it had stopped working again. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled it about 6-7 times and it's driving me mad. I follow the installation instructions to the letter, it works for a bit and then all I get is a question mark over video's and adverts all over the internet. It's only then you realise how many pages can only be seen if it works.

ARGHHHHH it's driving me insane - I can't find anything on the web or on the adobe site that can help me, can you? :Shouting:

What browser are you using?

Firefox on OS X is known to be a DANCE LITTLE DOLLIES with Flash.

I use Firefox, and Safari - it works in neither. What's "DANCE LITTLE DOLLIES" mean?? (sorry if it's obvious :p)

I said an INCREDIBLY NAUGHTY WORD (as in slightly) which was censored into "****" but a mod still felt it necessary to edit my post and give me an infraction.

Go figure.

Oh right - well I'll cover my ears next time :) Do you have any suggestions as to my problems? Could it be Norton? Although I;ve had that running a while now.....

Why do you have Norton anyway? There are no viruses for Mac, it just stops you from spreading Windows viruses to PCs on your network, which should have their own virus software.

I've got rid of Norton (it was on my machine already) - and a few other recent additions to the system. Downloaded Onyx, run that....it told me I needed to repair something on my startup disc, so ran that and fixed it, re-ran onyx - cleared caches etc. Uninstalled adobe flash, restarted, reinstalled flash and so far so good, it's still working. If it messes up again I will start a new thread and beg for some more help :) Thanks for your suggestion RH-MDP, hope it's worked.
