HDD rpm

Hi! Like many on this forum I'm trying to decide between a Macbook and Macbook Pro - on reading through the forums it seems like most would recommend Macbook Pro for video editing (something I'm hoping to do). Another question though - any idea why the Macbook doesn't sell with a HDD with 7200 rpm - is it the heat issue?

It's probably because the MacBook is designed to appeal to the consumer market, which doesn't generally have a need (or justifiable expense) for a 7200 RPM drive.

For what it's worth, you can buy a MacBook and upgrade to a 7200 RPM drive without any sort of problem.

I do the occasional home movie and video podcast editing on my MacBook, and it's fine. If you're intent on doing heavy video editing, you'll probably want the Pro.
