I am trying to decide on what hard drive to attach to the iMac for use with Time Machine.

I have almost decided on this one LaCie 1TB Big Disk Extreme + (Tripple)
purchased form Walmart for 227.

Any comments good or bad?

Thanks

Where are you and what currency are you using (USD presumably)?

It's a bit pointless if I tell you where to buy and it's in UK, if you live in the USA ;o)

You should get firewire 400 or 800, its much faster and doesn't use your CPU unlike USB.

Hard Drive

I live in the US and am mainly interested in the quality of the drive. Or if someone knows a good place to get it cheaper.

Thanks

I have had no problems with my Lacie d2 Qaudra external HD. I am looking into a 1TB Time Capsule however.
