Hi All,

I have a macbook pro 15' mid 2012. Have updated RAM to max (16gb) and have installed a 1TB SSD. Lately a green line has started showing on my screen (vertical) and it is still there after numerous restarts. Photo attached. Wonder if anyone can help me solve this issue. Many thanks in advance!

That is 99.9% probability a screen fault. The only "fix" is to replace the screen. You can verify that by connecting an external monitor to see that the line is NOT on the external, or you can take a true screen shot and see that the line is not in the captured image. Either of those tests will verify the screen has a defect.

Yes, almost certainly you have a display fault. At work one of my Macs is a MBP 15" 2012. I has a faulty hi-res matt display with 2 green vertical lines. Over time I just got used to them.
