here's a couple.

the mazda 787b on suzuka's back straight during the gran turismo world championship. this thing is a screaming beast of a car, very fast, a bit twitchy, and very, very satisfying.

miatas racing on trial mountain (i was "driving" the dark green one). a great, well balanced car on one of the best tracks of the series.

This is gonna turn into a GT4, and Forza 2 thread soon. Forza 2 is available for 360 tomorrow, and I'll be picking it up.

Gran Turismo series have been my favorate game for about 5 years now. Graphics, gameplay, physics, it still has not yet ceased to amaze me. Too bad I lost my memory card. I refuse to spend more time on that game.

by the way, as anyone ever beat the F1 Challenge in GT4 ?

not yet. i've really taken my time with it, played other games in between, spent a lot of time in photo mode.
but i do have some time before GT "5" or whatever they call it comes out on the PS3.

added a whole lot of stuff to my smugmug site (rather than flickr). now it's just a matter of finishing all of the comments (car and track info mostly).

here are a couple i took yesterday. i realized i'd never purchased a "stock" 350Z (only had won a race model 350).
so i picked out a nice silver one, tuned it a bit and took it on a few tracks. these two shots from the Tskuba wet course i thought were pretty groovy...

(edit: looking at these again, i'm really not too impressed with the quality of the forza2 shots in comparison, being that it's on he xbox360 and all.)

Well, the Forza 2 shots aren't full res. FM.net shrinks and compresses them when you upload them, the only way to currently get them off the 360 HD. On screen from the 360, they look beautiful.

No, none of the 360 games have usb support that I know of. YOu can only save to memory card, or HD.

interesting.

well, even if the pics are degraded slightly, i'm not sure about the look, and how much of an effect compression would actually have. there's just something that looks more real to me in the GT4 pics (other than the occasional not-so-smooth background stuff). i mean, look at those last two i posted. they look fantastic, especially scaled down like that; almost photorealistic.

cool. :D
pics have been good so far. when are you going to do some action shots?
not sure if you knew, you can save a replay from any race and replay it in the replay theater to snap pics of races. that's how i got the multiple car shots.

nothing serious for now. how about you pick any stock car and i'll pick the track?
no mods this time, but adjust the driving aids as you will, and keep rubber on the track at all times.

maybe if we keep this thread up, nukemm will see it, i know he plays too. :)

oh yeah, just lap times, or we'll set it up for a family cup race for a two lap race, or if the car is appropriate for a real race, we can do that too. ;)
but essentially just compare times.

maybe we'll smoke out some other players too... ;)
