Got a new ipod today

i had an 4th Gen 40gig that i sold to a buddy and got the 5th gen(i guess that is what it is called) 30gig black ipod, it is nice i like. i have a question though i am in a PC and i dont use iTunes, i use winamp and every thing is cool accept for putting in Vids. can i put on some of my backed up DVD (they are Avi) i dont mind useing itunes for it. but i hopped in for a sec and i couldent get them to load into itunes

any thoughts?

I think they need to be .mp4 to go on an iPod, im not positive, but I think so.

dont use m4v ive had nothing but head aches with those and ive been using QuickTime Pro!!

Just convert to mp4 and you will have no problems
