This may be old news, but I just noticed Google have formally released Google Earth for OS X.

Apologies if I'm re-posting, I couldn't see it clearly in any other threads.

I've been using it on the PC (sorry!) for a while, it's a fantastic bit of software. The Mac version runs just great on my G4 Powerbook.

Unfortunately for me, it only supports 10.4.x at the moment. I know, I need to upgrade my OS, but that's next month, at the soonest. Curses!

If it's not a Universal Binary, it will run under Rosetta. So yes it should work.

I installed it on my mac mini. Is this ever cool or what!!!!! It makes you wonder, if we can zoom into anywhere on the planet with the click of a mouse and see any place we want right from our home computer, imagine what the government can see, lol.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU

Sorry to dig the topic out again.

Does anybody experience slow Google Earth loading?. I mean, when I click on the icon, it takes about nine bounces before the application opens.
