Google background color Black, not white

27" iMac mid-2011, ipad.Air 2', iPhone 8+.
Do no like the black google background on my new 24" iMac running Safari. Seems to happen in the wee hours . How can I keep it with a white background ? Days seems or was normal.

Hi Pete,

Just to confirm: you did say "new" and "Safari"?

If yes to both, then the iMac is "new to you" but 10 years old or thereabouts?

Look in System Settings > Appearance. Look at the Appearance option and choose Light instead of Auto.

Bob. That's exactly what I did.
Ian New 24" MP3 chip iMac, compared to my old mid 2011 27" iMac. Safari is my browser. Haven't tried Brave or Chrome yet. Not sure what else is out there.
