There are many options out there and many offer free trials. So try out a few and decide for yourself.

A post like this is gong to illicit a ton of spammers attention, so we will be watching this one closely.

A simple Google search along the lines of: "Best VPNs 2021" will bring a bunch of sites with the strengths and weaknesses of all the common VPNs.

In general terms, avoid any free VPN. They have to cover costs somehow and if it's not from users, it quite probably comes from selling data or other commercial endeavours.

So can anyone out there recommend a good VPN? Best bang for the buck?
Most sites you will find about VPN's on the Web doing a google search will be worthless shill sites.

Just looked over "ProtonVPN". The free plan is actually better than some that cost $$ per year by subscription.

Also noticed that they are the developers of "ProtonMail". Looks like that is fairly good secure mail service.

Like all such services it depends of what you need it to do. For example I need a VPN that will sidestep Geo- Blocking of Australian TV web sites. Many of the European based services do not have locations in Australia. Even though I only really use it to watch my local Australian news service. It also adds a level of security for online banking in Australia.

I use ExpressVPN. It's easy to setup and use. Works well on MacOS, iPadOS, and iOS.

I use VPN Unlimited for my MacBooks, Ipads, and iPhones. I also use it on my Windows 10 laptop. Easy setup and many locations to choose from
