Gmail Keeps Crashing

I just signed up for Gmail, but whenever I try to login via Safari it loads up then I get the the Pinwheel of death, then Safari crashes. In Firefox it works fine. Has anybody had this problem?

Nope, Gmail works fine with me.

Thanks for responding, but I switched to Camino and it's pretty good! Gmail works
