Getting REAL tired of our government!

I've never seen our government act in such a childish manner before. I'm getting sick and tired of it! All they do is just go firkin back and forth with these so called "bipartisan talks," which is a bunch of crap, and when it comes time for a vote, everything gets turned down because they act like spoiled little brats! It's either their way or the highway! I really worry for the next few years to come. I've always been somewhere in the middle when it comes to parties, but now I have started to HATE they interests of the Republican party. I can't understand why anyone would vote for someone who doesn't have an ounce of interest towards you, especially now!

I want all this nonsense to end, but it just keeps on getting worse!

I honestly think the people should kick the government out, since clearly they are not in it to help us. They're just there to collect their checks, and warm their seat.

It hasn't even gotten bad yet. Give it some time. Enjoy the good life a bit longer before it gets serious. When protesters start carrying rocks and gasoline instead of bottled water and iPhones, then you've got something promising.

True (I don't know how old you are) but I was just pointing out the fact that distrust and dislike of government is by no means a new phenomenon.

Others may see it differently. That's the beauty of the system, we can agree to disagree. That said, if you honestly believe what the mass media feeds you about either side, you really aren't trying to find information you're just being lazy.

Not new, but unfortunately more the rule than the exception.

Back in the days of the Optimates and Populares (Old Roman Republic) political disputes often lead to knifings and battles in the streets.

The problem stems from our "representatives" valuing the position of their chosen party, and their status within it more than the welfare of the people as a whole. This applies equally to all parties involved.

Every now and then we have periods where statesmanship is fairly common and the political dueling recedes somewhat into the background. That isn't now, and not sure I will see a resurgence in my remaining lifetime.
