Well im finally gona ditch the 4 year old bulky dell desktop and go for a macbook! It will be great while im on campus. I'm still new to OS X but, im learning the quick tricks fast! Here are the stats!

13inch Macbook White:

2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
160GB Serial ATA drive @ 5400 rpm
AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook/iBook - Auto-enroll
Office 2004 for Mac Student

I get the sweet student discount too! I'm really excited to learn about mac's! I do know alot about pc's so this will be a good challenge. I do have one question! Is iWork really worth the money? I could use a program that I can design flyers ect... my concerns are people say it sucks? Not sure what to think any input about this would be great or just any tips!

Thank

iWork is wonderful once you get to know how to use it! Congratulations on the new Macbook, I'm sure you'll love it, and don't hesitate to ask some questions if you can't find older threads on the subject!

On the customer reviews on the mac website, many of them said its much worse than MS publisher! Which is odd becasue publisher sucks really hard core. Owell, I guess i'll give it a try, cant be anywore than MS!

Since it's a new Macbook, you could just give iWork a trial run. A full-featured trial version of iWork 06 will come preinstalled on your Mac. Just fire it up and check it out for a couple of weeks. If it suits your needs, then go ahead and buy it. The great thing is that it's not very expensive :black:

Congrats on the Macbook. You will love it.

On the iWork, like Kash said, they give you a 3 month trial. Give it a try and get used to it. The Publisher part (called Keynote) is very nice. If you like it then you can buy it after the trial expires.
