getting files from pc onto mac?

hi all,
I'm running Jaguar, and I'm trying to access files from my PC (running Windows XP). I have windows file sharing on, and personal file sharing on. I connect through the finder and put in my pc's ip address (it sees the network). I enter my username and password, and I get an error = -50. What does that mean? Help please

Is PC part of a domain/workgroup? And how are you typing it in? SMB or AFP?. I would try smb://ipaddress
