You know I have been meaning to give it a try. It seems like a fun thing to do and a way to burn some time outdoors. Alas I have not done it yet.

There was this one guy on macrumors that did geocaching, it doesn't sound that fun. But I've never tried it so...

edit: actually, it does sound pretty fun. I'm going to get a Garmen eTrex. It's cheaper than most (about $100). So if I don't really like geocaching, it's won't be that big of a loss.

Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.

Scavenger hunt? What is the use of this? Hmmm, I wonder what kinds of rewards there are... :biohazard
