Hello.

I tried to open a PST file from 2007 earlier this evening only to discover that all of my saved PST files are locked up by Garage Band. How do I free them in order to view in Outlook?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Find a .pst file. Right click on it, then "Get Info" to open a long skinny window about the file. Click on the lock at the bottom and provide an admin password to allow changes. There will be an "Open with:" section where you can select what to use for that file. If you want ALL .pst files to open with Outlook, then click on the "Change all" button and wait a bit for the changes to be applied.
