I am looking to add a second hard drive to my G5 dual 2.3Ghz. It is proving difficult to find SATA I drives. What SATA 2 or 3 drives will work, and will I need to buy different data cables?

Great, don't know why OWC didn't come up in my original search.
They had one good choice left in the garage sale section.
Now, if I can only figure out how to transfer all the stuff I have on external SCSI drives without a $300 card. Maybe if I network to my old G3?
Thanks

That's the ticket!;)

Or if the G3 has USB…you could use a USB stick to transfer stuff to the G5 (or an external USB hard drive).:)

Thanks
I think I'll go with the network, they already talk to each other to share the printer.
The only thing I never figured out is that the SCSI drives only show up every so often in the choices of volumes to mount when I connect to the G3 as a server (B&W G3, rev2 with Adaptec SCSI card.)
