G5 Hard-drive Replacement?

I heard a rumur that my 250 G hard-drive in my 20'' G5 can be replaced by getting one from a PC shop. I'm having big HD probs and a PC replaement would be a cheaper alternative.

Any technical info would be appreciated

There is no difference between a PC hard drive and a Mac harddrive, its just formatted differently.

Yeah, a HD is a HD, a router is a router, RAM is RAM..etc.
No such thing as a "Mac" HD or the like.
