My mac has two start up diska: mac os 10.2.8 (i think) and 9.2.1. It has happened before but today it crashed on Mac os nine and wont recognise any disc when i start up. What should i do? Ive tried holding down ALT (wont recognise a disc). There are othe computers in the house it could be networked to though i dont know if that could help.

As i said in the title any help would be very very much appreciated.

Key in
fsck -y

The system will check/repair your os x startup volume directories.
