G4 gives me out of space message

Hi i have a 733 Mhz G4 Quicksilver computer which has OS 10 and can run Classic OS9.i recently tried to install a music program and it gave me the message i have not enough space to install.I have a 80 Gb drive which has 60 GB of space open.A RAM disc also appeared on my desktop.How do i make room for this new program and why do i get the out of space message when the get info tells me i have 60 GBs left to use?
