Hi Everyone,
I have a Macbook Pro, but this is not the machine I'm asking this question about.
My daughter has a lovely old G3 Wallstreet 233MHz Powerbook. Still running great despite being 9 years old!! - How many PC Laptops could claim that!!
So, to my question:
I bought a used Macally Cardbus USB card (UH276) for her machine so that she can use her iPod Shuffle in her own machine, however I cannot get it to work.
I have 10.2.8 on the Wallstreet, and I have installed what I believe to be the correct drivers for the card, but all I get is "Unknown Card Vendor" and "Unknown Card Type".
Can anyone please help/advise?
Many thanks, Mark.

Driver?

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
Yes, that's the driver, although it says USB2 and I'm pretty certain the card is NOT USB2.
However, it installed OK, but the card is not recognised.
Thanks, Mark.

Still No Joy...

Hi Guys,
Still having no joy getting this card to work.
I just tried it in my Bro-In-Law's PC Laptop and the card works fine...

Any ideas at all?

Thanks, Mark.

EDIT:
Just had a reply from Macally Tech Support, they think my G3 might have 16bit (PC Card) slots and not 32bit (Cardbus) slots. How can I verify this?...

:)
