Is VMWare Fusion a piece of 'hardware' or a piece of 'software'?

Software

Is VMWare Fusion an 'OS' (Operating System) or an 'Application'?

Application

Is it installed in 'OS X' or in 'Windows, Classic, Linux...'?

Not sure about all you typed there...

I will take that as a yes...

In that case, my question is (I switched from Parallels to Fusion Trial) how do I shrink/compress my Fusion VM on my mac? It started out as 117GB and then I deleted a bunch of stuff and removed about 50-60 gigs. So now, how do I shrink the VM down, to gain more space on my mac HD...?

Thanks!

Sorry, but did you try reading it?

No, Fusion does not belong in the hardware (Apple Notebooks) section.
It is a piece of software that will run on both Desktops and Notebooks.

This thread will now be moved to the appropriate forum.
