it is a bit steep. unless somone is pressed for space. Good luck though bro. I bought my mac mini G4 off here last summer for $500 SHIPPED with Keyboard, Applecare, and 1 game. So i really hope you can get the money outta it or just drop the price down a few...

Not really -

Mini - $600
2ghz Core Duo chip - $320
2gb ram - $200
DVD burner - $80

$1200 right there. Another $40 for shipping. Accessories total probably close to $200. Plus labor.

am not trying to discourage potential buyers, for it is really a souped up mac mini way faster than current minis available. but if i have the money and out shopping for a mac and for the same price its almost like buying a 17" iMac. unless of course i have a special needs for a mini.
Your mini would be an awesome entertainment mac mini available.

good luck, i think the price is somewhat justifiable. nice work kaidomac!

Um, you did not buy a Core Duo Mini on here for $500. And this is not a Stock Core Duo mini either. A Core Duo mini makes the G4 mini CRY. I have both and have compared them with real applications benchmarks. With my Stock 1.66 Core Duo and Handbrake, 55 minutes to convert a large video and over 4.5 hours on the G4 Mini.

Also there are some that don't want an All in One system like an iMac and want a separate monitor, or for use as a PVR, the iMac is large and will not fit in a livingroom video system.

Also I would take that Pioneer Burner he installed over any Matushita one in the stock mini.

You cannot compare this mini to a stock mini. Granted, it is somewhat of a novelty, but you would have a very fast computer in the attractive mini form factor.

Warranty? Lol, once you start messing around with the processor and a lot of the internal components the warranty is usually voided.

Correct, no warranty. Guaranteed not DOA though. Been running fine since I set it up.

Not hating, just giving some friendly advice.....but seeing as how all Minis are now CoreDuos even at $599 (albeit a 1.66ghz CoreDuo), 2GB of ram can be had for $200 a superdrive for $70 and the 7200rpm drive for $100 then don't you think that asking thta much when it can be had for $870 is more than a bit off-base? I mean for the price you're asking, somebody could get it all new and drop in a Core2duo Merom 1.83ghz

I think this would be a good media center computer, or something like a folding system for people who are into folding. It could also be used as a space saver.

You have to factor in the cost of the chip. That's $1270 total. I am throwing in a keyboard, mouse, mousepad, plus audio/video adapters and cables, as well as free shipping. You're saving about $300 this way.

You can't factor in the cost of the chip because it isn't that big of an upgrade over what now comes in it stock and you can put in a BETTER chip (Core2Merom) for less than what you're asking. I know it sucks but you're going to have to eat the cost of the CPU if you really want to sell it. For the price you're asking only a sucker or a fool would buy it. The cables, keyboard, mouse and mousepad aren't worth much. Plus the danged audio-in jack is broke. Get real.... Like I said, I'm not hating on you or anything, I'm just trying to get you to see how ludicrous your price is. Honestly I wouldn't pay as much for your machine as I would a $799 1.83ghz CoreDuo. I'm thinking between $650-$700 is a more realistic price and honestly if you're wanting 1.5X that, then just keep the machine and find another use for it. It's not going to bankroll 50% of the cost of the Mac Pro for you.
