FS or FT 17 in. powerbook

I have a 17in. powerbook that i would like to sell or trade. i don't have much of a need for it anymore, i am really interested in getting a G5 desktop.

before i talk about the good stuff i should mention the bad

there are 2 small dents one is (about the size of a dime) on the bottom of the lid of the screen (by the hinge). it's only exterior damage. the hinge works perfect and the screen is no way effected by it.
the other is right by the power input, barely noticable. the power connection still works fine.
besides the few dents its perfect--and i will take the dents, although they are mearly blemishes--into consideration for the price or trade
the display has no scratches and no dead pixels.

memory- 512 single stick
geforce 4mx 64 mb
60 gig ATA
Bluetooth
800 firewire
Airport extreme
backlit keyboard
superdrive

well, apple has the new 17in. for 2700 and with tax your looking at a little over 2800. my processor is a bit slower though, and there are minor cosmetic blemishes.. so im thinking around $2000. if you're looking to trade, im really interested in a mac desktop at the moment. i also have an extra power cord, OSX and a laptop case to throw in.

looking further at apples web site, i saw referbished ones for about 2000. and since i have a few blemishes, ill go down to 1700.

12-inch isn't widescreen just so you know. It is same pixels as 12" and 14" ibooks. Only 15" and 17" PBs are widescreen.

thanks for the 12in. correction... wasn't thinking. i do need something with a very big resolution, so i'd be willing to trade if you have a 15in. powerbook. So deermat, im really not intersted in the ibook, sorry. i don't want to sell it either. we can work out a price for the 17in. though, and you can sell the ibook. Getting it from you just seems like too much of a hassle just for me to try and resell it.


scottyd-- your dp800 specs are really nice, except i'm looking for a very high end dp mac (g5). 800s just won't cut it for me, thanks though. A friend of mine is looking for a moderate g4 so i'll send him the link. good luck and thanks.
