how sturdy is your aluminium case? is it a nice one or will it crush with some weight put on it?

It's pretty durable. I use it myself for my paintball gear. It has held up for the amt of time I've used it (about 8 months). I don't think it'll take crazy abuse (i.e. stomping on it), but it's pretty durable.
