Motorola CyberSURFR Wave Cable Modem includes powersupply. I was given this modem so I assume it works, but I dont have cable to test it with. I'm looking for 15 dollars plus shipping. When you move it, it sounds like theres something in there, but I don't think its from the modem its self, I think it fell in. The previous owner says it works. It was used for shaw high-speed. Heres some pictures.

You can get alot more than 15 dollars for that considering to buy one it is near $300.00 and usually means the person just wants to hook up and have cable internet and not pay for it. There is a much higher demand than $15.00 I sold a 3 year old peace of white crap for $100.00 to someone who was desperate to hook up and not pay for cable.

The broadband ISP would need the MAC address of the cable modem in order to send the (internet) signal. It's not like cable tele which just needs a physical connection. You can get brand new cable modems for less then $50 on ebay. Last I checked teles didn't use IP addresses for service. It's a little different then trying to get HBO for free. ;)
