The 60 GB iPod ships for $389.99 from Amazon:

And for $399 direct from Apple:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...ore.woa/wo/0.RSLID?mco=3DF29A18&engr=3DF29A18

Both offer free shipping.
Of course you can ask whatever you like for them, and your post does say "open to negotiations", but setting your starting price higher than the above two well known and trusted sellers doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me.

I agree, especially trying to sell them on a mac message board hahaha. Thats like trying to sell a bottle of coke for 2.00 right next to a soda machine that is selling them for 1.00. This guy must be either a young kid, or thinks we are all stupid, and will jump at this.

Prices above are sample orders.

After the initial sample order of 1 unit, my MOQ is 10/units, max is 1000/units, I can supply about 100-1000 a week as I only deal with smaller quantities.

Supplier is in the US, lead time is about 10-15 days but samples are ready to go.

MOQ - 10-500/units

60GB - $345/unit
30GB - $250/unit
4GB Nano - $199/unit Best I can do for now
1GB Nano - $120/unit

Orders over 500 will have a price drop of about $2-4/unit for 60GB and 30GB ipods only, 1GB and 4GB prices stay the same.

I must sell my samples before ordering more, the samples are my physical stock. Only 5 left. (4) 60GB video ipods and (1) 4GB nano.

Considering that your only 5 posts are in this thread, I wouldnt buy one if you were selling them for half of what they go in stores.

This is the only thread you have posted in. i mean there is no post count limit but still you only have 5, and you're probably registered with several forums, trying to sell this. if he was selling them for half, that would be even more suspicious. And you joined what 3 5 days ago, 1 post per day! but wait, u didn't post for 3 days.

Hi, but the thing I don't get is I only USE secure forms of payment there is no risk. If you use a CC then you can just run a chargeback if you don't receive anything. Same with escrow.com, if you don't get you item just tell them and I don't get anything until you recieve you're package and confirmed that it was sent. Also, are you saying that if I had 1,000 post in this forum that you would buy from me??

I just got scammed from a guy on this site with one post, a confirmed PayPal account, and a very good eBay track record. That just happened recently, and I think many people on this site may have read the post. You may very well be legit, but after what happended to me, no I will most likley not buy anything from anyone on this siate with fewer that 50 posts, and even then I'm going to do my home work much better.

The seller is incorrect in saying you are safe using a "secure" form of payment. I am a VERY established seller/buyer online and he is not willing to ship first. Out of the over 200 transactions in the past 6 years I have participated in, I was just scammed for the first time a little over two weeks ago. I used a "secure" form of payment (credit card through paypal) and still haven't gotten my money back. If he really wants to sell his products he needs to be willing to ship first, otherwise he is going to sit on his "product". If you get smart and change your mind let me know. I don't feel like having a bad taste in my mouth again.

It's entirely possible that you're a very honorable guy. I think what makes people (at least me) gun shy, is this that if you're a guy selling one sealed/new iPod, or a guy selling a used iPod, then you fall in the realm of the "typical average everyday guy that's getting rid of an iPod". If that's the case, then people expect things to be either auctioned, or priced accordingly. Now, if someone's shopping for 1, 2 or mass quantities of iPods, brand new, and they see a guy who appears to be working out of his house, with a handwritten, paper sign sitting in front of his merchandise, with photos taken with a camera phone, they're going to feel a bit queasy, and a lot more comfortable buying from a large well established retailer, particularly at the prices you're asking. If you were asking half the price, then again, people might be suspicious that you're selling stolen goods. Either way, I think the problem is that you're first post on the forum was a selling post, and that your operation looks (not to say it necessarily is) amateurish.

I agree geekboy that I am new to this biz I got my supplier from another forum ( don't know if I can post it, PM me for it) they have all kinds of sources, and yes the pictures are amateurish. I don't deal in mass quantities... 100-1000 is not mass, 25k production runs are MASS, I am fine if no1 wants to buy anything from me, I just thought that I could avoid the high fees from ebay, but I guess I will have to go there. I just posted some up if you want to check them out. Ebay ID is the same. Also I am offering a opportunity for lower budget people that want to be resellers instead of buying in MASS quantities I am setting my MOQ to only 10/units.

According to you ebay auction I can either pay full retail price and take chance with you, or just go to Apple's website and get a guaranteed sale for cheaper through their educational discount. I really have to wonder what is going on with you?

Apart from all the above I'm kind of curious about this mysterious supplier.

Apparently it isn't Apple or he'd say so. Which leaves me wondering if the iPods are imitations/knockoffs. Like some of those Rolex watches or designer label clothing.you see advertised.

Sorry - but there is more than one type of scam.
