Fried motherboard???

:confused: G3 OS 9.2 @ work with freezing problem. Not so much the freezing but the fact that the
reboot and on/off buttons don't do anything. I have to open the unit and reboot by pressing one of the
nubs inside.date/time are wrong on reboot-replaced pram battery,that helped for a while.
Now back to same old-same old.Someone told me the mthbd is toast.
If that's the case,how does it still perform it's functions?
What's power management unit and what does it have to do with the mthbd?
