I keep getting a prompt that says things will be unavailable until I sign in to Apple again. When I do so I get prompted for passwords/passcodes for all of my devices. What's the purpose of this? Why do I have to enter access data for every device? Is that actually Apple doing it or is it malware trying to gain access to all of my devices? What is changing that requires me to sign in for all of my devices at least weekly?

I don't have answers, but experience the same issue. I ignored it and eventually got a notice that FaceTime might not work. Since I don't use that, I continue to ignore the "warning". There have been no ill-effects that I have noticed. I thought it only happened when there was an OS update, but I could be wrong.
