Format NFTS external HD to Mac OS using disk utility, full capacity not reached

The weird thing is the way it shows up in Disk Utility. If you Select the drive in disk utility (shown in attached Picture2.png) then it shows the info at the bottom (shown in Picture3.png). If you select the icon right below that one (shown in Picture4.png) then it displays different information (shown in Picture5.png). Note that in this view it says "Used: 52.3 MB." If you click on the Partition tab it displays 1 partition that is 127.87 GB (as shown in the Picture6.png), yet it is a 200 GB hard disk. The only thing I can think of is that maybe that Linux install CD created a hidden partition in the process of getting it ready for a dual boot. If that's the case, I have don't know how to get rid of it. I would like to avoid fancy partition programs that cost money. I've heard you can do it with fdisk in the command terminal on the mac, but every time I open that and type "man fdisk" it displays a bunch of stuff that looks like Greek and at that point my eyes glaze over and I give up. Is someone skilled at this that knows what to do and could walk me through it please?
