Fool iTunes into thinking one disc is the same as the other...

I have a large music collection on a mobile hard drive. This drive became to small, so I transferred the files to larger one.

I hoped to fool iTunes by giving the new drive the same name as the old one, so I would not have to add (a large number) of music files to the library again. This did not work.

Is there another way to 'fool' iTunes into thinking that the new disc is the same as the old? Or is there another workaround, like replacing file location code in the library?

Thanks,

Ingmar

+1 that..... but really need to sit there with a drink and some time on your hands!
Backup first no matter what!

Would love a video version of that tutorial :)
