filling in forms- first letters missing!

sometimes when i click in a form and start typing- the google search bar for example- the computer does not input the first one or two letters i type. does anyone have any idea what causes this? its a new macbook pro so it cant be because of cpu lag.

Well this update should have fixed it:

So if you have not installed that update, you should probably do so.

ive installed all the updates. the first three comments in that link say it doesnt work. just now when i logged in to reply, it missed the first letter of my username. i guess i just have to live with it?
