Every time I download a .dmg file it will not mount on my mac. I've tried going through the disk utility program to mount it and they still do not work. It usually just says (in the disk utility) "Unable to to attach "file" - Device not configured." I've ran the hardware check and it said nothing is wrong with my hardware. I also ran the maintenance script on ONYX as well as the disk utility repair/verify disk.
Also whenever I unplug my power cord to my mac the USB ports stop working as well until I restart the mac with the USB devices attached and the power cord attached at the same time. Any advice? Should I reinstall the OS or would that be a waste of time? Thank you so much people for your time!
