I have a folder on my external hard drive that says system volume information. I was just wondering if i need to keep that folder. I don't use the HD to back up my computer or anything. I read somewhere that it comes on if you use vmware or parallels. I tried vmware but took it off so it might have came on then, so im guessing its a pc thing. Does anyone know if i need to keep this folder?
Thanks

You can remove it. The "System Volume Information" folder is a leftover from Windows. Whenever you turn on System Restore in Windows a folder is created on the drive which is being monitored.

Regards.
