Still new, and there are plenty of try this and that, but being a linux guy for 10 years you really live on the forums. So my nice new MB pro is now 2 day's old, and still loving it :)

So the question, I plug-in an extenal 500gb USB which is mounts read/only. I have MacFUSE installed with the same results, even have the beta 2.15 installed with the same results;

/dev/disk1s1 on /Volumes/EXT500 (ntfs, local, nodev, nosuid, read-only, noowners)

So I can look to conintue this path, or do I take the time, backup ALL the files, re-format the drive for MAC, then can I share it and have a w32 machine write to it?

Thanks for all help and comments.

If you have windows samba sharing turned on, a windows PC will be able to write to that drive even when it is mac formated
