I have tried to search and No Joy.

We have Microsoft 365 subscription for our MacBook Pro and are running the latest Monterey 12.4 OS.

In Excel when I go to change Fonts - it takes a long time for the "Font Change Dialog Box" to open up?

Is there some setting or action I can take to address this?

Thanks for any assistance.

What Mac? And what is "long time?" Seconds, minutes, hours? On my Excel, also MS365, the font change box is on the main ribbon and opens almost immediately. Selecting a font takes a couple of seconds if I hadn't used the font in a while. I guess that is the system finding the font file and opening it.

Here is a image of what I mean by the "ribbon."

MacInWin,

Thank you for the prompt response.

Please see information on Laptop and OS in screen shot below.

I go to change the Font exactly as you have shown. The slow Timing is when you click the "type of Font" button and it is probably between 60 seconds and 2 minutes for it to show the different Fonts to select. Just seems like it takes longer than it ought too?

We have the MS Office Subscription for Mac's and it renews every year and we do the updates as/when they come out as they are on Auto Update.

I was hoping there was a setting or button I could click.

It's not a big deal - obviously - just odd that it seems to take awhile.

I love Macs and the MS Office Suite on subscription - so if this is my only complaint - I am doing good !
Ha !

Thanks for any help and advice.

Yeah, that seems long to me. As I said, if it's a font I haven't used recently, it takes a few seconds (5-8) to get the font loaded, but the list comes up in just 2-3 seconds. Sorry, but I don't have any suggestions for you to try. You might try contacting Microsoft to see if they have any suggestions. I'd be surprised if they do, but it might be useful.
