Enlarged Folder Title

Delighted to be part of this forum.....I suspect I've altered something unintentionally as an enlarged folder box has appeared when I point at any item, I've endeavoured to sort it but as a novice I've run out of ideas...a fix would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Have you installed any third-party utilities that might cause what you are seeing, assuming it's not part of any of Apple's OS options etc?

To eliminate that possibility, try booting into Safe Boot Mode that should disable any third-party utilities and see if the feature disappears.

To Enable SafeBoot mode, Shutdown, then Startup And be ready to press and keep holding down on the shift key immediately you hear the normal boot startup sound.

Log in, and see if there is any difference.

To get back to normal mode, Just Restart your Mac normally.
