I have reached an age at which the print in many applications needs much enlarging if I am to be able to read it. A particular offender is Contacts. I cannot tell you which version I am using, because in About Contacts, the type-face is tiny.

I have downloaded TinkerTools, and that has done a good job of enlarging the type-face in the Google Chrome menu-bar, but I cannot get it to enlarge the type-face in Contacts.

Is there a way around this ?

You might try going into Universal Access and enabling the zoom buttons for tiny type like the "About Contacts" dialog box. I use it for my classes all the time, it's option-command-+ (plus sign) to zoom in, and option-command-(minus sign) to zoom out. Simple, logical and the amount of zoom can be set to whatever you like.

Thank you, but that has made no difference to Contacts. Is there any software -- I have heard of Cobooks, but cannot install it -- that would give one a better experience of making entries in Contacts ?

How do you mean it makes no difference? It makes up to a 400 percent difference, if not more!

I meant that it makes no difference to the size of the type-face in Contacts. It is as if Contacts is immune to zooming.

Works fine for me here. In fact I am tempted to set a gesture for it.

@Chas_m Thanks for the tip. I tried this quite some time ago and did not like the result. Either something has changed or the keyboard shortcut makes it much nicer. I don't need it all the time just certain tasks in certain programs.
