Hi,

I've seemed to have lost that whooshing sound once an email is sent by my computer. I didn't do anything knowingly to stop it. It just did it all by itself. How do restore that sound. I like it because it tells me the mail has been sent.

I'm using the apple program Mail, version 5.3 and I'm using OS X 10.7.5 on my MacBook.

I'm sure the ability to turn it on or off is somewhere in the Mail Preferences, but where?

Thanks,

Bob M.

P.S. I hope this thread is in the right category - if not feel free to move to the right place.

- Check "Mail" Preferences
- Click on "General"
- there's a box that says "Play sounds for other mail actions". Make sure this box is checked.

Thanks,

Yes, that box (Play sounds for other mail actions) is already checked but still no whoosh noise upon mail sending.????

Any other ideas? I'm getting all the other sounds from my computer as I should, just not the sound of mail sending.

Bob M.
