I purchased my Mac about 18 months ago, and am happy to no longer use my PC.

Up until today, I have had little to no problems.

I started noticing yesterday that when I send an email out, the mail activity always says that it is sending 2 messages.

What are the causes of this?

Has my email been compromised?

I rebooted my computer the first time it happened, and now when it reloads Mail is not at the bottom of my screen. I have to go to applications to find it.

Thoughts?

Are you automatically using the "CC" function in your outgoing messages? That would cause two messages to be sent.

Open your Mail preferences, and select the "Compose" tab. You'll see an option that says something like... "automatically CC myself". Make sure this isn't checked.

As for the Mac Mail icon remaining in your DOCK, you can select that option by right clicking on the Mail icon when the program is active and select "keep in DOCK".

Regards.
