Email attachment annoyance in Mail 4.5 under S.L. 1068

I have had this problem for quite awhile and I'm finally getting annoyed enough to try and fix it:



I get this every time I double click an attachment in an email message. It does not matter what the extension is (.txt, .rtf, .pdf, .wav, .mp3. etc.) its always this same message. I have tried variety of folders created just for the sole purpose of saving these **** things, and no joy!

If anyone has encountered this kind of shenanigans, how did you fix it?

Problem solved; problem was a permissions issue with the Mail Downloads folder in the current user library. After adding the permission to read and write to account I typically use all is now right with the universe, as you were.
