EFI Upgrade?

Morning:

I was just given an old MAC Book (Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 1.83 13" MA699LL/A)...

Apparently the processor is 64bit capable but the EFI is 32bit?????

Is there an EFI upgrade available to bump the EFI up to 64bit?

Can't find anything on the forum and the Apple support site seems pretty useless...

Help?

Sorry, but no, there is not.

I believe it can still run 64 bit processes - it just will not boot into a 64 bit kernel.
That machine is also limited to 2GB RAM.
