It used to be posible to edit old posts, right?
However, i tried to edit one today and i didn't find the option/link/button for that, has this changed or my lack of sleep is starting to affect me?

I believe you can only edit your posts within a certain period of time after you make the post. After a certain period (it's probably a couple of hours) you are no longer able to edit your posts.

I think your right...

I believe you used to be able to EDIT really old posts...

Which was nice, to be able to copy old posts WITH links to be reposted for the newcomers, instead of just directing them to the old post.

i've been able to edit the switcher f.a.q. constantly.

i don't think there's a time limit. maybe someone was playing with the settings again?

and while you're at it, could you get rid of the waiting period between making searches? I tend to double click the Get New link, no apparent reason but I do, and it immediately comes up with the page telling me that I have to wait. Kind of annoying

I'd like to second that call. I do go back and read my posts often, and I do find spelling and grammatical errors I'd like to correct. Having the option would be nice.

This is a pain .... could it be a forum traffic problem ???

One consolation is that if you do need to do an edit and the option is still available, then the text that tells everyone you have edited & shows the date and time you edited doesn't appear anymore ...

You guys are hilarious! LOL

Well it's true that the Edit button time-out is a bit of a pain and it makes me double-post and triple-post. So watch out a long list of monologues are gonna creep all over the forum! Hee-hah!
