ebay and paypal apps

I just installed the latest version for the ipod touch with the apps installer app. I then installed the ebay and paypal apps and when I open it it automatically shuts down after about 3 seconds. Both apps do the same thing, so I am sure i did something wrong somewhere. Can any one help me?
