My 2007 MacBook earphone jack has stopped working. That is, when i plug earphones into it, there is no sound. The Earphones work on other devices, phone etc, and the sound does come through the speakers on the MB

If it is not a glitch and it is gone for good, do you know if the part is replaceable?

thanks in advance

In order to replace the headphone jack, the entire logic board would have to be swapped out. $$$ Try using a paper clip that's been straightened and gently wiggle it around toward the side of the jack inside. I'm thinking that the small switch which puts the jack into listening mode when you plug in headphones is stuck.
