Hi Im using IMAC and an external DVD writer
When using toast to copy a DVD when I put a blank DVD in my drive it just spins and spins and never recognises it.

Im using RITEK discs

Anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Hmm, in your other post, you wrote that your external DVD-writer is not recognised as writer. That explains, it. If your drive isn't a writer (or not recognised as such), the disk will not be recognised and can't be mounted.

Yep Im trying to copy a movie using toast- I have already used software to remove macrovision and to compress the movie- just trying to write to a disk now.

My other post is now sorted I used patchburn to install a driver for my DVD RW so IMAC now recognises the drive as a writer.

The drive is a LITEON LDW-411S

Any ideas?

Well, if Toast recognises it as a writer, I guess the drive seems to have some trouble with the media...
Unfortunately, some writers are a bit picky about the quality of the disks. Try maybe TDK, they are compatible with most writers.
