what are the chances of apple fixing this for me? there is a sig. amount of dust building up on the left, and right side inside my MBP glossy screen.

id like to get it fixed, i understand some is ok, or acceptable, but annything i do with a white(any bright color) background, or wht desktop, looks terrible.

Only way to get that out is to disassemble the screen and blow it out. Unfortunately, doing this yourself would result in a voided warranty, so you're better off calling Apple tech support or visiting the nearest Apple Store.

In case anybody is thinking it, compressed air won't get it out, it'll just push the dust further in. Speaking of compressed air, I need to go buy a can....

is the glossy screen just another top layer on the matte lcd?

im thinking this is how it is, and is really kinda crummy how apple does it.

ive seen gloss screens that are actually attached to the panel, not just a top cover
