duplicate calendar entries

My calendar shows holidays listed 3-4 times (i.e. Veterans Day, Columbus Day and/or Indigenous People day). it's frustrating cause if I have something to add for those days my entry drops way down on the list (out of view).

You need to look at your Calendar List. Click the View menu bar item and select Show Calendar list. If you are signed in to Google, Yahoo or Microsoft (too many to list them all) accounts, they may be coming over from them.
