I'm thinking different... iMac, Macbook, iPod Touch, 10.5 - Leopard
I'm about a three week old mac user and I am loving it! I have a question about iTunes.

I have a music folder with all my MP3's broken up in alphabetical order (example I have a folder for artists that start with A, one for B, another of C, etc).

Now once I add a song to iTunes, am I correct to believe that iTunes make a copy of that MP3 for it's folder?

I don't have a lot of space on my iBook and want to delete my ABC folders with MP3s in it, if iTunes has them saved elsewhere.

Did I make sense?

iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Turn off the Copy Music to iTunes Library

Then you can delete all of the artists folder in the iTunes Music Library folder
